My party season makeup is sorted for this year, thanks to BeautyExpert.com. They’ve just sent me a few of their best selling products from Elizabeth Arden and Nudestix. Elizabeth Arden was first established in 1910, so it’s about time I gave their makeup a try.
For this look, I started with my usual Arbonne Makeup Primer and Arbonne CC Cream in Light. I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow on my cheekbones and her amazing 3 in 1 eyebrown pencil.
I always prime my eyelids with Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze. It’s a creamy eye shadow which I apply with my fingertips to give a subtle shimmer. The bronze makes my green eyes shine as well as holding any eye shadows which are applied on top.
I used Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color in Immortal on the outer corners of my eyelids and underneath my lower lashes. This is a thick pencil which, when applied can be easily blended with a finger. It holds fast – my eye colour didn’t shift all day. I applied Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Truffle on the rest of the lid.
I’m wearing the Beautiful Color (please excuse all of the American spellings – these are the brand names) Matte Moisturizing Lipstick in Raspberry by Elizabeth Arden. This is a much deeper pink than I expected, but I like it. It applies evenly and stayed on well. I’m a sucker for packaging and these products have a high-quality feel to them.
I finished and set the makeup with Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder. This just takes away any shine and creates a more even finish.
This really is fast beauty. The look took about seven minutes to achieve. I only used a brush for my cheeks, for the powder eyeshadow and the setting powder. All other products were applied directly and blended with my fingers. What do you think of the final look?
