I’ve always wanted to publish the kind of fashion photographs that ‘real’ bloggers post on their immaculate Pinterest pages (ie not those with Impostor Syndrome!).
You know the ones: tall, leggy brunette with long hair flowing in the wind, striding across a crowded New York street, yellow taxis slightly blurred in the background. Or petite twenty-something with cute pixie cut sitting on townhouse steps wistfully sipping a skinny flat white.
Sadly I don’t usually have the legs. And if I did, I’d be much too embarrassed to pose in the middle of Oxford Circus.
Fortunately, my lovely stylist friend Esther introduced me to her lovely photographer friend Bhav, and so an idea for a fashion shoot collaboration was born. They promised to take me somewhere quiet, where we wouldn’t have to stop any traffic. All I had to do was wash my hair, slap on a bit of makeup and find some clothes to wear. Which meant I either had to go begging for samples, or go shopping.
Hope Fashion – who I’ve written about many times, lent me some trousers, the hubster bought me a Mulberry purse for our anniversary (which I exchanged for a bag) and I searched the high street for a few other late summer sale items to create these looks.

I’m so grateful to the very talented Bhav Sonigra for so many beautiful photographs to choose from. We’ve got steps, we’ve got hair blowing in the wind. It’s all there. Esther was also on hand to style the shots – and to make sure I didn’t have spinach in my teeth.
I loved feeling like a real fashion blogger for the day. And now I can create a beautiful Pinterest board of my own.
With love Vx

Vicki,
You’re always such a delight to work with and you’re a natural in front of the camera! Plus, you know how to put an outfit together so all I really had to do was make sure your hair blew the right way! 🙂
You look gorgeous in these shots and it makes me very happy knowing you got your ‘fashion blogger moment’ – I’m sure there are many more to come!
Much love,
Esther xx

Thanks Cat. Glad to hear you’ve had a chance to pamper yourself in advance of the new job starting. It’s crucial to feel good in your work clothes, particularly during those first few weeks. Vx
