Blogging has opened up a whole new world of experiences for me. These range from having a HydraFacial treatment, taking a mindfulness course and cookery classes, to fun days out with the kids. I’ve even starred in an online advertising campaign (which isn’t live yet, but watch this space).
However most evenings and weekends, I’m at home, watching television programmes I’m not particularly interested in, next to a sleeping husband.
So Funzing didn’t exactly have to twist my arm to take a look at their huge range of unique experiences, hosted by people just like us. They currently have events running in London, Manchester, Brighton, Tel Aviv and Singapore, but have plans to expand.
Hosts (mainly people like you and me with day jobs) with skills ranging from Indian cookery to African drumming, run workshops, tours, lectures and much more via Funzing. Anyone with a skill or hobby they want to share can sign up as a host. That means you and I could share our passions and make a little money on the side.
If you’d rather be making new friends and learning a new skill, than watching another episode of Antiques Roadshow, then I suggest you take a look: find an event you want to join, buy a ticket and experience something completely different. Use my affiliate link to have a look at what’s on offer. You might find yourself on an underground treasure hunt, or learning to play poker.
I’m going to be doing just that over the coming months and I’ll share it all here.
In the meantime, I’ll be racking my brains for an event to run: a workshop about blogging over a glass of wine perhaps – what do you think, would you come?
